Asthma Care Coordination

My name is Kathy Owczarczak and I have worked as a Registered Nurse at Western New York Pediatrics for over 18 years.

I took on the role as Asthma Care Coordinator about a year ago.  I have a passion for this, partly because 3 of my 6 children also have asthma.  I would like to think that I care for my patients not only with the perspective of a health care professional but also with the perspective of a parent.

I strongly feel that no child should ever have limitations placed on them just because they have asthma!  With a careful, individual plan of action initiated by our providers, each child/family will have the knowledge and tools available to manage their asthma.
