Lactation Services

WNY Pediatrics offers lactation services for new and existing patients.  Services are provided by certified Lactation Counselors and Consultants.  All first time breast feeding mothers are highly encouraged to book a lactation appointment!


WNY Pediatrics' Therapy Dog 

Maple MacLeod is a Yellow English Labrador Retriever. She became a Certified Therapy Dog in December 2015. Maple visits the office with one of our nurse practitioners, Bernadette Macleod, who is Maple's owner and handler . Maple's superpowers include reducing blood pressure, helping people smile and giving warm fuzzies. Maple offers comfort and distraction during vaccinations !


Kelly Thompson is a New York State Licensed Mental Health Counselor. She joined Western New York Pediatric Associates in 2014 as the Behavioral Health Consultant.
Kelly enjoys working with the families and patients at WNY Pediatric Associates providing short term counseling, case management, assessing appropriate level of care and linking to appropriate resources within the community. coordination of care. Kelly will see children with anxiety, worries, depression and some behavior disorders. Her focus is on education and early intervention.
